For the past two months, Apple has been offering students a new MacBook or MacBook Pro to buy for two free earbuds. But here’s the amazing thing: headphones can’t be charged without a new MacBook or a power brake without a MacBook.

While Apple comes with USB-C along with its laptops, there are no Beats headphones that support the growing popularity of the connection. Apple’s mobile phones for students include the Solo 3 Wireless, which uses a small USB cable, and the Beats X, which uses a USB power cord.

Obviously Apple doesn’t see this as a big problem, as Bates unveiled two new phones yesterday – the top end of Studio 3 wireless – which is again relying on a micro-USB cable. This means that there will be more people who will connect the cable and adapter to charge all their products.

Beatsx Wireless Headphone Review: Comfy, But The Sound Could Be Better

It doesn’t behave much like Apple. For its products, Apple goes out of its way before it is ready to go, with little to no frustration for its customers – just switch to USB-C and watch its movement on the earbuds. So it’s amazing to see Bates stand out from the previous standards, especially a high-end product.

It can be assumed that Bates is doing this to make life easier for people who do not have the latest MacBooks and higher and Android phones, which are the original products converted to USB-C. And there’s a good reason to take this approach: if Bates wants to appeal to a wider audience, it means using the cables that the audience already relies on. But that’s a surprising reason for creating an Apple-owned company, especially since it means headphones that aren’t directly connected to Apple products.

This will be a disappointment for buyers of Apple’s local system: if you have a MacBook, iPhone, and a Beats Solo 3s, you will need three different cables and up to two adapters.

Along the way, it looks like Apple is planning to replace Bets phones with power cords, which will eliminate some of this problem. Beats X has already used the delay, and given that Apple is controlling the electronic level and taking advantage of its use, it will make enough sense to watch it spread to an additional audience. It also means that someone with an iPhone – that is, most people – will be able to charge from their smartphone and cell phone on the same wire. It is not good to use USB-C at all, but it is really better to wipe up to three wires.
