About 2 years ago I came across an AOC 32 “and made the same boo-boo as you. I asked the service company about a replacement, and they said that, considering the cost of panel and the necessary work, it is more expensive than the new monitor.

Just by looking on ebay, I can see some curved monitors dropping in price. What is your model number. You can find a discount monitor with a good panel with a broken stand, missing parts, a cracked bezel, or a similar defect. Worth a try. Merry Christmas!

What is the warranty period in your country? In the UK a monitor usually lasts 1-3 years and something happened to me like this without warranty but I used what we call “home contents insurance” and my insurance company replaced it with something like this.

Aside from being hacked, there is nothing wrong with this Samsung. Honestly, it’s pretty silly to say it’s cheap and then turn around and recommend AOC monitors that are known for being affordable at the cost of quality.
