The change process is very different compared to the previous guidelines we created. It is confusing and we would like our customers to fix this. So we created these step-by-step instructions on how to change your Beats Studio ear pads. But before we get into the steps on how to change Beats ear pads, let’s talk about the three biggest mistakes people make when changing Beats Studio ear pads.
Customers often forget to remove the plastic backing that holds the ear pillow in place. This plastic base is part of an old ear pillow you intend to replace, so you need to remove it again. If it is not removed, the foam will always be fully exposed, which is a disturbing view. You will also notice that there is an imbalance while wearing headphones. Soon it will be literally a pain. We will discuss how we can remove plastic support later in this article.
The left and right sides of the Beats Studio headphones are completely different from each other. The right side of the ear pillow has a special cutter designed to carry a USB port for headphones. Doing so incorrectly can completely damage the headphones or ear pads. Be sure to place the correct ear pad aside so as not to disturb the glue.
How To Replace Your Beats By Dre Solo 2 / 3 Ear Pads (wireless)
Not only is the left ear cushion different from the right ear cushion, but the top of the cushion is also different at the bottom. Placing ear pads down will prevent their holes from getting properly into the studs on the headphones. On the right, it is easy to identify the bottom of the ear pads by looking at the cut USB port. To remove the base, simply hold a butter knife and any tool strong enough to act as a razor so you can easily remove the plastic base from the Beats Studio headphones. Choose a tool with a blurred edge so as not to damage the audio device. Properly insert the edge into the small space between the old plastic base of the cushions on the ears and headphones. Do not attempt to force the plastic support by pulling. It will be very difficult to remove it if it is broken. Carefully lift the base to separate it from the headphones. We suggest that you try to straighten the ear pillow just to hear what you have done. Make sure you do this before removing the glue. Consider this as a habit to avoid wasting glue.
Now that you are sure you can do the job, loosen the glue and guide it by attaching two doowels to the corresponding holes.
Once aligned, push the ear pillow in and hold it firmly for about ten seconds. Next, run your fingers across the ear pillow and push it into the speaker to attach it.
Now that you have successfully attached the first ear pillow, follow the same steps as the second ear pillow. Even if it is already installed, you still need to be careful not to touch the first pad while attaching the second pad.
How To Fix Black Leather Around Beats By Dre Headphones Earpads
It is important not to miss the last step. Some customers may be able to use their Beats Studio headphones immediately after installing ear pads. This is not recommended as adherence is still weak at this time. The best way to put pressure on the ear pads for 12 hours is to use a book stack. In this last step you will need about five to six books with 300 pages each. Avoid being too thick or too thin for this to work. Place books and stretch headphones on top of them. Make it look like these books are using your Beats Studio headphones right now. Do not stretch the headphones too much to avoid injury.
