My old Mantel that we put in our house 3 years ago is always with me. I bought it before finishing this house and I think it is good for the kind of French farm that I think will be the main thing happening in this house.

As it is in style, which I have changed and adapted as we work in each room of this new building. I’m usually fascinated by the old European vibe right now, and the raw wood texture of this dress doesn’t work well for this space.
I kept dreaming one day of finding an old stone window or even buying a cast stone – but the dream surrounding it didn’t mean my price was ready to pay. Average from $ 3000- $ 4000, and we have a lot more important things in this house than spending the money on fire!
In the end, I thought I would see what we could do with wood to get us the same look. I don’t want to “fake” it to do it, but I hope we can get a better look than what’s out there, for a small amount of value.
In the end, we thought we spent less than $ 200 on this new glass, which is still cheaper than the first one I bought.

After looking at his pinterest board, Mr. TIDBITS outlined his plans for us and put our minds together to figure out how to do it.
I love watching companies find out how this works. I was amazed that he could get out of the parking lot, play, experiment and put wood together to make the surrounding area a better place. my first configuration.
Of course, he will learn the art of the road – with a lot of trials and errors and just digging. He’s so talented now that I love watching him produce!

This in itself will not be a step-by-step tutorial, but I caught a picture of what I can do with Kevin while doing it and I hope it helps to see his technique. If you need more details, the video I posted above does a better job of explaining the process.
Kevin brought wood and provided a ring for the foot and took it out to the store to enhance the look. As soon as we looked and thought about it, it went on to cut into pieces.
It uses 1 × 8 boards for the center and 2 × 10 for the top. It uses lywood and ¼ inch plywood for bent parts.
He wanted to hide as many screws as he could in order to soften eventually, so he used a new Kreg hole to prepare the space for the final assembly.

Cut the crooked part for the top, apply the shape of the crown on the wooden frame. Nice and fits well here!
When everything is finished, it is used together to cover everything on the tree and make it look good around us. He was sure to make sure all the joints were in place so that they would not crack.
To finish it off, I wanted to test what we already had in order to see if I would get the faux stone look I was looking forward to. We use Pure & Original Fresco lime paint that I left at our kindergarten with coffee beans.
I think it will make a beautiful warm white color and contrast with the Roman clay or the Marrakesh color on the walls. I have information about this color if you want to know more.

I love the part we added. This room, or even the room, is very beautiful, so I am always looking for ways to add some space to any space.
I think it goes well with the travertine tiles he put in the faux fur area. We have built this foundation so that we can one day add electricity or even a wood burning stove if we want, but now, I feel like we have finally locked the type we want for this room. I love to decorate scarves for the whole holiday.
When I have you in my room, I will show you some of the “before the holidays” decorating my put up while we welcome Thanksgiving.
I didn’t want to miss “Christmas” yet, but I wanted it to be a party, so I added pops of green and red to the 100 piano we got for free.
