The vehicle had already arrived at us after diagnosing a faulty HV battery. We re-diagnosed the battery and came to the same conclusion. The picture above shows the reading of the block voltage in a faulty battery – note that the marked row is approximately 1.2 volts lower than the one below. This is considered excessive block voltage variation and is the most common cause of battery failure. The battery fan was blowing at full speed, the display was charging and discharging at high speed, and the car had low power. The battery needs to be replaced.
