Recent Reviews Dishoom Manchester
- Owen Parish (5 months ago):
The breakfast at Dishoom is absolutely incredible a solid 11/10! The house chai is an absolute must; it’s rich, perfectly spiced, and the perfect start to the day. The service is always amazing, and the staff truly go out of their way to help. Every visit feels welcoming and effortless thanks to the wonderful team. The outstanding service and consistently delicious food keep me coming back time and time again. I’ve added a few photos of the breakfast! I’ve also been for dinner, and although it can be on the pricier side, the food is once again amazing, fantastic quality, full of flavour, and completely mouthwatering. The only area I’d maybe not give 5 starts is the atmosphere as it’s very noisy and tablets are quite close together. Overall I highly recommend Dishoom, and in particular the Manchester location!
- Multi Vitamins (2 months ago):
We had a fantastic experience, and I wanted to personally thank your team for such a memorable evening. The atmosphere was wonderful, successfully balancing a lively energy with a unique, elegant style that remained very relaxed. We found the food to be outstanding; every dish and small plate we shared was packed with flavor. In particular, the freshly made naan was excellent and the portion sizes were perfect for sharing. Furthermore, I would like to commend your staff for their friendly and attentive service. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the evening felt very well-organized, and we greatly appreciated the thoughtful menu recommendations provided by the team. It was a brilliant experience overall, and we look forward to returning the next time we are in Manchester.
- Jean Paul Ramírez (a month ago):
This was truly an amazing experience. The atmosphere was quite loud, ngl, but also really immersive? Like a weird sensory trip. The food was delicious: we got the chef’s special biryani, which was amazing! We also got the bhel, butter chicken, paneer, and raita. The service was fantastic as well. The food was delicious, and I don’t think the prices were overwhelming, especially since we were sharing!
- Asher (2 months ago):
We were a large group and were given tasting platters. The starters were good. The mincemeat dish was the best, nicely spiced. The fried okra was also good. With the mains, the black lentils stood out. Clearly cooked for an extended period of time with plenty of butter and cream, it was pretty decadent. The ruby chicken was very good too, tomatoey and creamy, maybe could have done with more spice. The raita was nice and refreshing. The seekh kebabs could have been better, a bit too dry. The potatoes were not bad. Dessert would have been better if it were homemade rather than prepackaged. I had mango kulfi ice cream. The total price per person came out quite high but that included drinks.
- Léo Sezam (a month ago):
Delicious menu, with very creative and interesting flavours. The meat is very tender🙌 The Naans are good but not the best I’ve had. I’d say however, that it’s a little too pricey overall though. For instance, the house chai was delicious (the spices tickle your throat nicely, exactly what I’m looking for) but the portion was too minimal for the price. For the experience, the unique atmosphere and top quality food, I highly recommend you try at least once in your life.

Mine was a delivery order. Packaging was amazing. My order was delivered quickly. But I feel the items are a bit pricey. 1. Masala paratha- I felt it was dry and a bit burnt. 2. Chole- spice level was very mild. Good portion. 3. Date Tamarid chutney- yet to taste. So unable to comment on it but i liked the idea of selling it along our normal order which made me think to attempt its taste. 4. Samosa – was good and provided with sauce

Dishoom Manchester completely lived up to the hype and is 100% worth the visit. It was recommended to us and after seeing all the reviews, it felt like a must- and it did not disappoint. We went as a group of four and were seated right away, which was a great start. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside, with a really cool atmosphere and great vibes throughout. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu, helping us navigate all the options. The menu is packed with great choices, so we decided to share a bunch of dishes to try as much as possible. We ordered the dahi batata puri, chili chicken, lamb samosas, vegetable samosas, chicken tikka, gunpowder potatoes, chicken ruby, Goan monkfish curry, chicken biryani, garlic naan (highly recommend one per person), masala paratha, and steamed basmati rice, along with some drinks. Every single dish was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and came out at a great pace. Everything felt fresh, well-seasoned, and authentic. The portions were perfect for sharing and left all four of us completely satisfied. Overall, this is a top-tier spot for Indian food in Manchester with amazing food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I would highly recommend it and would absolutely come back the next time I’m in the city.

Reserved myself a table during my first Manchester trip. The service team is very friendly, welcoming and attentive, check in periodically ensuring everything is well. The food is simply sumptuous and delectable. So spoilt for choices! Will sure be back to try other dishes..
