It must have been a relief. If the plastic does not get stuck in there and you still have it, glue more, and try hard to put it back around Jack, and hold it there for a minute, then remove it can work.

It seems like an idea exists. There is no place for plastic. I’ll take a good look at it when I get home. It would be nice if I could put one end on the lock for them to take out. From what I’ve seen, I think it’s broken so I won’t be able to slip in the first place.

I did the same thing for my kids on the iPad. Luckily, I was able to pick up something with a few sharp tweezers. Good luck

No, there is a metal bell in the center of the plug. Surrounded with plastic. I was able to hold the plastic until it was exposed to a split middle to stick to the tweezers. Mind you the thing I was holding was under the face of the iPad.

I’m a little scared to apply glue to that little hole. I did not do well in the Throne Game. I don’t want a red nose to blow like a buzzer playing on my iPad. I pasted pictures to show what was happening.

I’m just talking to Apple. I plan to meet at a local store on Friday. They will try to bring it there. If that did not happen, they told me they would send a correction. If so, will it be posted or replaced?

There is a risk that they may injure Jack and if Apple finds that it allows technical messages not included with the iPad it may refuse to return it at any cost such as ‘shutdown’. Then you may want to forget to mention that part when you mention that the headphone jack does not work, if you are comfortable with that. —— darngooddesign says: Finish deep in the nail and pull it out. Some tips from SO. If Apple Care is on the phone telling you that they will try to remove it, do not be surprised if the store says no. Phone consultants are famous for promising things that never happened in a store. They will say things will be changed which are real software issues or live issues. They say things will be covered if not. They have told people to come in as soon as they are given time and again that it is because of the appointment and they have to prepare for the customer. Or the customers who get the phone are opened with a jailbreak and an adviser who says okay, the screen has been replaced by a boy. These items are empty warranty and the stores will not be affected. The SO has seen articles from consultants about such a thing.

Thanks for the info! I think I’ll put everything back tomorrow and expect them to change when I get in. That should be far from over. I understand what you are telling me about what the Apple people are telling me. There should be notes from the manager that can be drawn from the store. I’ll see what happens and if they say they can’t do anything or I have to pay, I’ll call Apple at the store.

No, I have the same problem but when I try your big glue but it makes it worse. I put a little glue on the end of some of Jack’s headphones and put it on.
