We just bought this monitor less than a month ago and stumbled upon it. No one outside. Warranty. Do you have any idea if it can be fixed?

Not to ruin your hopes, but rather get another monitor. It also costs to replace a board as a whole replacement monitor or AiO-PC, etc. The same goes for HDTV. You could probably gently remove the cracked LCD panel from the backlight panel and use it as a backlight drawing board or something similar. With that in mind, look at the replacement chart. You may find something you can use. The cost may exceed your taste, good luck.

Pretty sorry. However, it could be worse. My nurse is a nurse and is obviously in the hospital pretty quiet on Christmas morning, but then she gets more and more busy when people break up or have other accidents while playing with their new toys. It is best to avoid this type of Christmas accident.

It’s hard for me to find replacements for the faint 19-22 “old AIOs and office screens, this Sammy part will be impossible to find. I doubt there are even LG curved panels for sale anywhere.

It’s just an unfortunate comrade, it would be hard to find a replacement screen, mark it as shit happens and look for others.

Curved Monitor Repair

I found an AOC 32 “about 2 years ago and made a similar bu-bu like you. I asked a service technician for a replacement and they said it would cost more than a new monitor with the cost of the board and the work required.

Just a quick look at ebay, I see the price on some curved screens drop. What is your model number. You may be able to find a lowered monitor with a good panel with a broken stand or missing parts or a cracked frame or similar defect. Worth a try. Merry Christmas!

It had to be a “tube”. I’m not even sure that an extended warranty would cover such damage. For a cell phone, but no.

You can check homeowner / tenant insurance if the value is higher than your deduction. But I doubt it’s $ 500 or more, so it’s probably not worth it. In addition, there is always the risk that they will raise your rates if you have recently had other claims or need to file another claim in the near future.

I would say buying a new one is your best, if not the only option. I guess you can get the next bigger size on a flat screen for less money. The curves are beautiful, but they are more of a whim than a precious (besides cost) feature. There’s nothing to suggest that curved screens provide better images or a better gaming experience. Market exaltation makes them sound great, and theoretically they should be better (at least for one user sitting in an ideal position). But, as is often the case, “theory” and the real world do not always succeed – especially after the novelty disappears. I’m just saying you shouldn’t feel that a curved monitor is your only choice.

You’re not saying where you live, but there may be some really good last-minute deals at Best Buy or Walmart – if you can handle the crowd. Maybe even some “open box” discounts that you can ask about.

How long is the warranty period in your country? In the UK it’s usually 1 – 3 years for a monitor, something similar happened to me out of warranty, but I used what we call “home content insurance” and my insurer replaced it with a similar one.

Besides being cracked, there is nothing wrong with that Samsung. In fact, it’s pretty stupid to claim it’s cheap shit, and then turn around and recommend AOCs – screens that are known to be affordable because they’re quality.
