The University Counselors training program was a comprehensive learning experience that not only prepared me for my career as a professional counselor, but also changed my view of myself and the world around me. I am proud to say that I graduated from this program, where I made lifelong friends, furthered my education, and improved my career.

My experience in the university graduate program (in counseling education) has prepared me for the challenges I have faced so far in my career. My professors have prepared me with real world knowledge with a compassionate attitude towards my success.

My master’s degree in counseling at university has provided me with the best education and academic support to achieve my goal of becoming an authorized and independent counselor. Through their program, the encouragement of professors, and their networking with local agencies, I was able to find an internship that perfectly matched my career aspirations, and before graduation I was hired in a position that was very rewarding.

The undergraduate counseling program gave me the skills and professional knowledge needed to begin offering psychotherapy in a field that meets medical needs. Many professionals are really curious about the economics of a graduate degree. If I speak only for myself, I can realistically say that after ten years of working at the same non-profit agency that I started my undergraduate academic counseling, I have more than double the income I have ever received in the private sector with I have a bachelor’s degree. The level of business is even adjusted for inflation.
