I tried to look up the actual numerical specs to see how they compare to others, but it bothers me when it’s nearly impossible to find either in the box, on the Beats page, or anywhere else for that matter. And as I know people make decisions based on scientific data. I don’t particularly do that in the case of headphones. I use my ears So I’m pretty glad this information is hard to find.
To describe a sound with meaningful words, it can be “full” and “alive.” Generally, DJ headphones use the bass to try to simulate how the dance floor sounds, and Beats Mixrs have a much lower end. But it’s like all frequencies are increasing too. Which makes the mixer great for mixing control. But it might give a different picture of what’s going on on the floor. I definitely wouldn’t recommend them for production. But for being a DJ and listening to your collection casually, they are pretty good, although I found that depending on what I was listening to. But it’s not great for the people around you.
This is another area where success depends on a number of factors. which is mostly your physiology I found that despite the limited movement of the swivel headphones, the Beats Mixrs fit my head perfectly.
